At the completion of this educational session, learners will:
  1. Understand the prevalence and incidence of anogenital HPV infection and neoplasia in HIV-infected men and women.
  2. Know the current approach to in-office screening for anogenital neoplasia in HIV-positive men and women.
  3. Understand current approaches to management and prevention of anogenital neoplasia in HIV-positive men and women.
  4. Appreciate the role of HRA in the HIV primary care setting.

Timothy J. Wilkin is an investigator with the Cornell HIV Clinical Trials Unit and an Associate Professor of Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in New York City. Dr. Wilkin’s research interests include the epidemiology, diagnosis, management and prevention of human papillomavirus infection and anal dysplasia in HIV-infected adults, and the epidemiology coreceptor tropism in HIV-infected populations. He has received grant support from the National Institutes of Health and the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He is also an investigator with the AIDS Clinical Trial Group and the AIDS Malignancy Consortium.
