About the Presenter: Top of page

Stephen Goldstone is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and has a surgical practice in New York City. He has developed a surgical techniques to treat anal HPV dysplasia, is a member of the AIDS Malignancy Consortium, and president-elect of the newly formed International Anal Neoplasia Society (IANS). Dr. Goldstone is an expert on gay men’s health, anorectal disorders, and has done extensive research on human papillomavirus (HPV), including prevention, screening and treatment for HPV. He is the author of the best selling book "The Ins and Outs of Gay Sex: A Medical Handbook for Men.

At the completion of this educational session, learners will:
  • Understand important history-taking questions to aid in diagnosing common anorectal disorders in individuals with or at risk for HIV.
  • Identify common anorectal disorders during physical examination in patients with or at risk for HIV.
  • Know the best treatment and prevention options for common anorectal disorders in people with or at risk for HIV.
